According to information published by Liberty Global, in the first quarter of 2010 cable operator UPC Polska added 34,600 digital TV customers, reaching 264,000. 38,000 subscribers resigned from analogue television, giving the number 749,100. This means that in the first quarter of 2010, UPC Polska lost a total of 3,500 subscribers of television services and at the end of that period had 1,013,100 subscribers. INEA, the largest regional telecommunication operator in Poland extends is television offer with ntwo channels: nSport and nSport HD. Stations are available in a test transmission for subscribers of selected thematic digital TV packages. INEA TV already offers 141 digital channels, including 15 in high definition. more ››

Vectra provides the largest number of movie channels in the market and is the best in this category among all operators, including satellite platforms. UPC has prepared a new digital television offer in which all packages include HD channels. On 12th of April seven new HD channels joined UPC digital TV and new packages were introduced - Select HD, MAX HD and Super HD. From 11th of March UPC Digital TV offer is enriched with five new channels, including one in HD. Multimedia Polska revenues increased in the fourth quarter of 2009 by 10% compared to the corresponding period in 2008, reaching 137.9 mln PLN. For the first time in the company's history annual sales exceeded 0.5 bln PLN. In the fourth quarter of 2009 Multimedia Polska recorded adjusted EBITDA of 72.2 mln PLN or 16% higher than in the corresponding period last year. more ››

ASTER has introduced a new list of channels. Stations are divided into thematic categories and assigned to the numbering range. In addition, digital BasicPlus package has been enhanced with 6 channels, which until now were available only in the analogue offer: Kino Polska, Universal Channel, Viva Polska, Sport Klub, TV 5 Monde and BBC Entertainment. more ››

Eska TV will be available for UPC Poland cable network subscribers thanks to agreement signed by UPC with Delegata colmpany.. Music channel will join the cable network over the next few days. Eska is a new project of Radio Group Time (Eska, Eska Rock, HIT FM, VOX, Wawa) aimed at young people. Channel was launched in May 2009. more ››

BBC Worldwide Channels announced that BBC Entertainment will appear in BasicPlus package of ASTER cable network in Warsaw, Cracow and Zielona Gora on 10th of February 2010.
