SatLink Communications Ltd., the fastest growing teleport in 2007 according to The World Teleport Association, announced on 25th of August, that Viacom's MTV Networks International has chosen the company to broadcast its newly launched channel, Nickelodeon Polska. SatLink is transmitting the channel on its MCPC (Multi Channel Per Carrier) platform on Hotbird 8 at 13° East for Digital-To-Home (DTH) digital broadcast. more ››

TVN chairman Piotr Walter announced that his station does not intend to launch new high definition channels and plans to focus on the production of content for TVN HD. TVN has also no plans of purchasing major sporting events, which according to him, do not to build audience loyalty. more ››

In the evening of 24th July Orange Sport started its transmission. It is now available in Cyfra+ platform. Station broadcasts game summaries with no logo on the screen. Officially there were plans to launch Orange Sport on 25th July, but due to the cancellation of Ekstraklasa's first round it will probably only conduct tests over the weekend. more ››

On 13th of July TVS - Telewizja Silesia added a little HD letters to its previous logo and has become a high definition channel TVS HD. This illustrates the change of the feed form - now TVS signal is taken from HD version for cable networks, it is converted to SD, send on Sesat 1 (36E) satellite and copied to Hot Bird 8 (13E). more ››
